In 2006, the casino was one of five stand-alone facilities offered slots licenses by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board following the state’s legalization of gambling. Sands Casino Resort is located within the Bethlehem Works development in eastern Pennsylvania’s Lehigh Valley region and is operated by Las Vegas’ Sands corporation.
